The bīja — the seed of the plot — is planted at the opening and then developed through the garbha, the second of a drama's five junctures. When that seed is caught up and hurled forward once more, given a fresh push, the authorities call that move 'ākṣepa.' So ākṣepa is simply the plot-seed thrown up again inside the garbha.
गर्भसन्धि में जो बीज छिपा रहता है, उसके पुनः ऊपर की ओर उछाल को 'आक्षेप' कहते हैं। यही इस अङ्ग का लक्षण है।
ākṣepa ('a throwing-forward, a renewed raising') is one of the aṅgas — the component limbs — of the garbha-sandhi, the second juncture. Rūpa spells the mechanism out on the illustration that follows (v076): what had been embedded (garbhita) in serving the friend's aim is tossed up again (punar utkṣepa) at the sight of Lalitā — that renewed raising of the seed is the ākṣepa.
'आक्षेप' (पुनः उठाना, बीज का फिर से उभार) गर्भसन्धि — दूसरी सन्धि — के अङ्गों में से एक है। रूप गोस्वामी आगे के उदाहरण (व076) में इसका स्वरूप स्पष्ट करते हैं: जो बीज सखी के प्रयोजन की सिद्धि में गर्भित (छिपा) पड़ा था, वही ललिता के दर्शन से पुनः उछल पड़ता है — बीज का यही पुनरुत्क्षेप 'आक्षेप' कहलाता है।
