kṛṣṇāpāṅga-taraṅgita-dyumaṇijā-sambheda-veṇīkṛte
kṛṣṇāpāṅga-taraṅgita-dyumaṇijā-sambheda-veṇīkṛteat the spot braided into a triple confluence (veṇī) where the Yamunā — the sun's dark daughter (dyumaṇijā), set rippling (taraṅgita) by Kṛṣṇa's sidelong glances (apāṅga) — mingles (sambheda) [with the bright stream of L2] locative; this whole compound qualifies pura in L2 — it names one locus, not two, and veṇī evokes the triveṇī, the plaited meeting of holy riversसप्तमी — जहाँ (उस पुर में), कृष्ण के अपाङ्ग (कटाक्ष) से तरंगित हुई द्युमणिजा (सूर्यपुत्री यमुना) के सम्भेद (सङ्गम) से जो वेणी बनी हुई है
kṛṣṇa-apāṅga-taraṅgita-dyumaṇijā-sambheda-veṇīkṛte — at the flood braided into a confluence by the mingling of the Yamunā, rippled by Kṛṣṇa's sidelong glances (qualifies pura, L2).
At the sacred confluence: the Yamunā, the sun's dark daughter, is set rippling by Kṛṣṇa's sidelong glances, and where that dark stream braids together with the bright one [of the next line]...
An udāharaṇa of upakṣepa — 'the hinting of the bīja (seed of the plot)', which kārikā 50 (nc.6.4) defines as 'bījasya sūcanam,' the first sandhy-aṅga of the mukha-sandhi. Paurṇamāsī recites the verse to her pupil Gārgī, and its imagery hints at the coming love of Rādhā and Mādhava — so the next unit's prose confirms: 'here the hinting of the seed of Rādhā-Mādhava's love is the upakṣepa.' The whole verse is one sustained rūpaka (metaphor) of a river-confluence: Kṛṣṇa's dark glances are the dark Yamunā (dyumaṇijā, 'the sun's daughter'); Rādhā's bright smile is the celestial Gaṅgā (L2). Where the two braid together — like the triveṇī at Prayāga — is the pilgrimage-spot where one drinks the nectar and is carried above all worlds (L3–L4). The dark-river / bright-river pairing mirrors dark Kṛṣṇa and fair Rādhā.

An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse), quoted from Lalita-Mādhava 1.14, exemplifying upakṣepa — the hinting of the bīja (seed of the plot) — which kārikā 50 (nc.6.4) defines as bījasya sūcanam, the first sandhy-aṅga of the mukha-sandhi: Paurṇamāsī recites it to Gārgī, and its sustained river-confluence rūpaka (dark Kṛṣṇa-glance Yamunā meeting fair Rādhā-smile Gaṅgā) hints at the coming love of Rādhā and Mādhava.
