१७७- सर्वनामस्थाने चासम्बुद्धौ।177. sarvanāmasthāne cāsambuddhau.न सम्बुद्धिः- असम्बुद्धिः, तस्याम् असम्बुद्धौ।asambuddhi means 'not sambuddhi'; asambuddhau means 'in the non-sambuddhi'.सर्वनामस्थाने सप्तम्यन्तं, च अव्ययपदम्, असम्बुद्धौ सप्तम्यन्तं, त्रिपदमिदं सूत्रम्।sarvanāmasthāne is in the locative case, ca is an indeclinable word, asambuddhau is in the locative case; this sūtra has three words.इस सूत्र में नोपधायाः से न तथा उपधायाः की और दूलोपे पूर्वस्य दीर्घोऽणः से दीर्घः की अनुवृत्ति आती है।In this sūtra the words na and upadhāyāḥ are carried over from nopadhāyāḥ, and the word dīrghaḥ from ḍhralope pūrvasya dīrgho'ṇaḥ.यहाँ न का अर्थ निषेध न होकर नकारान्त ऐसा अर्थ है।Here na does not mean negation; rather it means 'ending in the letter n' (nakārānta).
सर्वनामस्थानसंज्ञक प्रत्यय के परे रहने पर नकारान्त उपधासंज्ञक वर्ण को दीर्घ आदेश होता है।When a suffix bearing the sarvanāmasthāna-saṁjñā follows, the substitute dīrgha (lengthening) replaces the letter, ending in n, that bears the upadhā-saṁjñā.
