suhṛttvaṁits standing as a friend [holds]मित्रभाव (सुहृद् होना)
bhāvi-sva-priya-viyoga-smaraṇātbecause fear recalls the coming separation from one's own beloved ablative of causeइसलिए कि भविष्य में होने वाले अपने प्रियजन के वियोग का स्मरण होता है
atra — here; karuṇasya tu — but for karuṇa; suhṛttvaṁ — the friendship; bhāvi-sva-priya-viyoga-smaraṇāt — [comes] from recalling the coming loss of one's own beloved.
Why count karuṇa, the mood of grief, a friend of fear? Because fear itself dwells on the coming separation from one's dear one. Dreading that impending loss is already close kin to the grief of karuṇa. The 'tu' singles out karuṇa as the case needing explanation; bībhatsa's kinship with fear he leaves as plain.

sva-gatāḥare hostile as arising in one and the same person sva-gata = 'located in oneself,' i.e. in a single āśrayaएक ही आश्रय में स्थित होने पर — अर्थात् एक ही व्यक्ति में एक साथ आने पर (तभी शत्रु)
vīrādayaḥ — vīra and the rest; sva-gatāḥ — [are enemies] as located in the same subject.
As for the enemies — vīra, śṛṅgāra, hāsya, raudra — they count as enemies of fear when they arise in one and the same person. The clash is between rasas that share a single seat.
sva-gata, 'located in oneself,' means arising in the same āśraya — the same character's heart. A blue lotus keeps its blue wherever it goes; but two rasas quarrel only when seated together in one person, the way two guests clash only under one roof. So these four oppose fear specifically when they co-occur in a single subject; the same rasas seated in two different people need not clash.
