suhṛt[are its] friendsमित्र (सुहृद्) हैं
vīrasya — for the vīra rasa; tu — now; adbhutaḥ hāsyaḥ preyān prītiḥ — wonder, laughter, sakhya, and dāsya; tathā suhṛt — are likewise its friends.
Now the vīra rasa, the heroic mood. Four rasas are its friends: wonder (adbhuta), laughter (hāsya), the friendship mood (sakhya), and the servitude mood (dāsya).
In Rūpa's own naming the five primary rasas are śānta, prīti (= dāsya), preyas/preyān (= sakhya), vatsala, and madhura. So here 'preyān' is the sakhya rasa and 'prīti' the dāsya rasa, not the ordinary words 'dearer' and 'affection'.

Its enemy is terror (bhayānaka). And for one particular kind of vīra, peace (śānta) is an enemy too. The word 'a certain kind' warns that śānta opposes only some vīra, not all.

For the vīra-in-giving, though, only terror (bhayānaka) is to be counted the enemy. Peace is left off the list — so śānta opposes the battle-hero alone, not the giving-hero. That is why the verse said 'a certain kind'.
