sakhyāḥ sva-yūtheśvaryāḥ — of the friend, i.e. of one's own group-leader; śrī-kṛṣṇāt atyāhite atibhaye sati — when a grave danger, a great fright, comes to her from Śrī Kṛṣṇa; śrī-kṛṣṇe — toward Śrī Kṛṣṇa; sakhīnāṁ — of the companion friends; krodho bhavet — anger arises.
Viśvanātha spells out the scene. He reads the mūla's 'friend' as the sva-yūtheśvarī, the leader of one's own group of gopīs — she is the one in peril. When a grave danger, a great fright, comes to her from Śrī Kṛṣṇa, then the companion gopīs' anger at Śrī Kṛṣṇa flares up. So the endangered one is the group-leader, but the anger belongs to her companions.
yūtheśvarī is a term of rasa-śāstra: the mistress or leader (īśvarī) of a group (yūtha) of gopīs; sva-yūtheśvarī is the leader of one's own troupe. Viśvanātha thus splits the roles — the group-leader is endangered, while it is her sakhīs who become angry.
