vraja-adhipaḥ — the lord of Vraja; svīya-kara-aṅgulīm — his own finger; avalambya — having held out; skhalad-aṅghri yathā syāt tathā — in such a way that the feet stumble; aṅgane — in the courtyard; gacchantam — walking; sutam — his son; prekṣya — on seeing
Viśvanātha reorders the verse into plain prose. He settles two things. First, the finger is the father's own and he is the one holding it out; svīya makes that explicit. Second, skhalad-aṅghri is not a description sitting on its own — it tells you how the child moves, so he unpacks it as 'in such a way that the feet stumble'. He also swaps prasarantam for the everyday gacchantam. He stops at prekṣya and leaves the verse's own mumude to finish the sentence.
