śrī-rādhāyā eva veśo yatra tathābhūtaṁ śrī-kṛṣṇaṁ vīkṣya |
evahers and nobody else's — her own get-up, not simply a woman's clothesही — और किसी का नहीं
veśois the dress, the whole turnoutवेष, पहनावा
yatraon the man who has it the relative that unfolds the verse's bahuvrīhi rādhā-veṣam — yatra … tathābhūtam, 'him on whom …'
tathābhūtaṁ śrī-kṛṣṇaṁKṛṣṇa, who is in exactly that state accusative — this answers yatra and names who the verse's compound was describing all alongवैसे हुए श्रीकृष्ण को — यह 'यत्र' का उत्तर है और बताता है कि वह समास आरम्भ से किसका वर्णन कर रहा था
vīkṣyaon seeing him his plain replacement for the verse's udvīkṣyaदेखकर — श्लोक के 'उद्वीक्ष्य' के बदले सरल शब्द
yatra — on whom; śrī-rādhāyā eva veśaḥ — is the dress of Śrī Rādhā herself; tathābhūtaṁ śrī-kṛṣṇaṁ — Kṛṣṇa being like that; vīkṣya — having seen
He opens up rādhā-veṣam. It is a bahuvrīhi: the one on whom Rādhā's own dress is. So read the line this way — Kṛṣṇa is in that state, and it is him that Subala catches sight of. And note the eva: not a woman's dress in general, but hers.

veśam evāha—jāguḍaiḥ keśaraiḥ karaṇaiḥ rādhā iva gauraṁ gātraṁ tasya taṁ, ratnamaya-kuṇḍala-yuktau karṇau yasya tam ||
veśam evāhait is that very dress he now spells out eva reaches back to the veśa just named — the four epithets of the first two lines are not scenery, they are the costume itselfउसी वेष को कहते हैं — 'एव' अभी-अभी कहे गए वेष को पकड़ता है
keśaraiḥmeans saffron a lexical gloss — the rarer jāguḍa swapped for the everyday keśaraअर्थात् केसर के द्वारा — कठिन शब्द के बदले प्रचलित शब्द
karaṇaiḥand these are the means by which it was done he supplies karaṇa 'instrument' to fix the instrumental case: the saffron is what the fairness was achieved with, not a comparisonसाधनों के द्वारा — 'करण' जोड़कर वे तृतीया को पक्का करते हैं
rādhā iva gauraṁfair like Rādhā iva is Viśvanātha's word, not the verse's. He tells you which fairness is meant — hers; the saffron is there to match her colourराधा के समान गौर — 'इव' विश्वनाथ का अपना शब्द है; वे बताते हैं कि किसकी गौरता अभीष्ट है
gātraṁ tasya taṁsuch is his body — and 'him' is what the verse's word points at the standard unfolding of a bahuvrīhi: 'whose body is so — him'जिसका शरीर ऐसा है, उसको — बहुव्रीहि खोलने की सामान्य विधि
ratnamaya-kuṇḍala-yuktau karṇau yasya tamhim whose two ears are fitted with jewelled ear-rings yasya … tam unfolds ratna-tāṭaṅka-karṇam; tāṭaṅka is glossed by the plain word kuṇḍala, and karṇau is dual — both earsजिसके दोनों कान रत्नमय कुण्डलों से युक्त हैं, उसको
veśam eva āha — that very dress he now states; jāguḍaiḥ keśaraiḥ karaṇaiḥ — with jāguḍa, that is saffron, as the means; rādhā iva gauraṁ gātraṁ tasya taṁ — him whose body is fair like Rādhā's; yasya karṇau ratnamaya-kuṇḍala-yuktau tam — him whose two ears are fitted with jewelled rings
Now he shows that the first two lines are the costume itself. jāguḍa means saffron; that is the stuff, and applying it is how the colour was got. And gaura is not fairness in general — fair like Rādhā. That is the disguise: a dark body painted to her golden colour. Then the last epithet: the one whose two ears carry jewelled rings — tāṭaṅka is simply a kuṇḍala.
One added word does the work here. Viśvanātha's iva — 'fair like Rādhā' — turns a list of ornaments into an impersonation, which is what makes the verse an example of vinoda, play, rather than a description of how Kṛṣṇa looks.
