ruditam anu niśamya tatra gopyo
ruditam anu niśamyaafter they heard the weeping anu + accusative ruditam — 'following upon / on the heels of' the weepingरोने की आवाज़ सुनकर, उसके तुरन्त बाद — 'अनु' यहाँ द्वितीयान्त रुदित के पीछे-पीछे का भाव देता है
tatrathere (at Nanda's home)वहाँ, उस स्थान पर
gopyaḥthe gopīs (the subject who wept)गोपियाँ (कर्ता)
tatra — there; ruditam anu niśamya — after hearing the weeping; gopyaḥ — the gopīs …
There, hearing the sound of weeping, the gopīs came. This is the Tṛṇāvarta scene: the whirlwind demon has carried baby Kṛṣṇa off, and now the women of Vraja hear the crying and gather.
An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse) in the pañcama-laharī on sthāyi-bhāva (2.5), quoted from Bhāgavata 10.7.25. The gopīs' tormented weeping at not finding the child illustrates śoka, grief, taken as a sthāyi-bhāva.

Their minds were burning with grief, and their faces were streaming with tears. Two pictures of the same sorrow: the pain inside, the crying outside.

nanda-sūnum anupalabhya — not finding the son of Nanda; ruruduḥ — they wept.
Not finding Nanda's boy, they broke down and wept. The child is simply gone, snatched up into the dust-storm, and that absence is the whole cause of the grief.

This happened once the wind died down. The whirlwind's blinding dust-storm had covered everything; only when it settled could they look around, and only then did they realize the child was missing.

tathābhūte pavane sati — once the wind was in that state (uparitaḥ pāṁśu-varṣasya vego yatra — its dust-shower's force ceased); tatra — there; yaśodāyā ruditaṁ niśamya anu — right after hearing Yaśodā's weeping; gopyaḥ — the gopīs; purāntarād api āgatya — coming even from other parts of town; ruruduḥ — wept.
Viśvanātha spells out the compound: the wind is one 'in which the dust-storm's force had spent itself.' Then he fills in two gaps the verse leaves open. Whose weeping did they hear? Yaśodā's. And where did the gopīs come from? Even from other parts of the village — hearing the cries, they hurried over from further off and joined in weeping.
