avidyā-dhvaṁsata ity atra bodhaḥ tunow, as for the word 'bodha' here in 'avidyā-dhvaṁsataḥ…' tu marks Jīva taking up the key term to define'अविद्या-ध्वंसतः' इस श्लोक में जो 'बोध' शब्द है, उसको लेकर जीव कहते हैं ('तु' शब्द से वे मुख्य पद को समझाने के लिए उठाते हैं)
aspadārtha-lakṣitasya tat-padārtha-lakṣitasya ca jñānamis the knowing of what the self-word points to and of what the 'that'-word points to'अस्मत्' पद से लक्षित (जीव/आत्मा) और 'तत्' पद से लक्षित (ब्रह्म) — इन दोनों का ज्ञान (यही बोध है)

avidyā-dhvaṁsato yo bodhaḥ, sa vidyodaya-puraḥsaro bhavatithe bodha that comes from destroying ignorance — that is the one the verse calls 'preceded by the rise of vidyā'अविद्या के ध्वंस से जो बोध होता है, वह विद्या के उदय को अग्रगामी रखने वाला होता है

avidyā-dhvaṁsataḥ ity atra bodhaḥ tu — the word 'bodha' here means; aspadārtha-lakṣitasya tat-padārtha-lakṣitasya ca jñānam — the knowing of what the self-word and the 'that'-word point to; svarūpa-avagamaḥ = tayoḥ abheda-jñānaṁ vidyā — 'realization of svarūpa' is the knowing of their non-difference, i.e. vidyā; teṣu sādhanaṁ nididhyāsana-rūpam — the means among these is meditation; prathamaṁ nididhyāsanam, tasmād avidyā-dhvaṁsaḥ, tataḥ kramāt padārtha-dvaya-jñānam, tataḥ tayoḥ abheda-jñānam iti kramaḥ jñeyaḥ — the order is: meditation, then destruction of ignorance, then knowing the two meanings, then knowing their non-difference; avidyā-dhvaṁsataḥ yaḥ bodhaḥ saḥ vidyodaya-puraḥsaraḥ bhavati — the bodha from destroying ignorance is the one preceded by the rise of vidyā; saḥ ca … kṛd bhavati iti anvayaḥ — and it does the affliction-ending work; so runs the construing.
Jīva walks through the verse word by word. 'Bodha' here means knowing what the two great words point to — the self-word (asmat/tvam) and the 'that'-word (tat), that is, the self and Brahman. Knowing that these two are non-different — that is 'realization of svarūpa,' which is vidyā. The means to it is nididhyāsana, deep meditation. He then fixes the order: first meditation; from it, ignorance is destroyed; from that, step by step, one knows the two word-meanings; then one knows they are not different. So the bodha born from destroying ignorance is exactly what the verse calls 'preceded by the rise of vidyā,' and it is what brings the affliction-ending realization of one's true nature. That, Jīva says, is how the sentence construes.
aspadārtha (asmat-padārtha, the 'self/thou' word) and tat-padārtha (the 'that' word) are the two terms of the Vedāntic mahāvākya tat tvam asi; their abheda, non-difference, is what Jīva equates with vidyā here.
'अस्मत्-पदार्थ' ('मैं'/आत्मा वाला पद) और 'तत्-पदार्थ' ('वह' वाला पद) — ये वेदान्त के महावाक्य 'तत् त्वम् असि' के दो पद हैं; इनका अभेद ही वह विद्या है जिसे जीव यहाँ बताते हैं।

ādi-grahaṇād bhakty-avabodha-kṛd bhavatīti jñeyam |
ādi-grahaṇātbecause the word 'ādi' ('and the rest') is included in the verse ablative of reason — the presence of ādi is what licenses the extra sense'आदि' शब्द के ग्रहण के कारण — क्योंकि श्लोक में 'आदि' पद रखा गया है (इसी से यह अतिरिक्त अर्थ बनता है)
bhakty-avabodha-kṛd bhavatiit also brings about the awakening of bhakti(यह बोध) भक्ति के अवबोध को भी कराने वाला हो जाता है
iti jñeyamthis is to be understoodऐसा जानना चाहिए
ādi-grahaṇāt — because 'ādi' is taken in; bhakti-avabodha-kṛt bhavati — it also brings about the awakening of bhakti; iti jñeyam — this should be understood.
ādi-grahaṇāt — 'आदि' के ग्रहण से; bhakty-avabodha-kṛd bhavati — भक्ति-अवबोध कराने वाला होता है; iti jñeyam — ऐसा जानना चाहिए।
The verse's 'etc.' (ādi) is not idle filler. Jīva reads it to mean that this bodha also awakens bhakti — that too belongs on the list.
'आदि' शब्द के ग्रहण के कारण यह बोध भक्ति के अवबोध को भी कराने वाला हो जाता है — ऐसा जानना चाहिए।

evam-bhūto bodhaḥ khalu keṣāñcid bhakti-sahāyo bhavatīti sañcārīty arthaḥ |
evam-bhūto bodhaḥ khalua bodha of just this kind, indeed khalu underlines the point being settledइस प्रकार का बोध निश्चय ही ('खलु' शब्द निश्चित होते तथ्य को रेखांकित करता है)
keṣāñcid bhakti-sahāyo bhavatibecomes, for some people, a helper to bhakti keṣāñcid (gen.) = 'in the case of some' — not everyone'sकुछ (साधकों) के लिए भक्ति का सहायक होता है ('केषाञ्चित्' षष्ठी = 'किन्हीं के', सबके नहीं)
iti sañcārī ity arthaḥmeaning: it is a sañcārī (a passing, transient feeling) — that is the senseइसलिए यह सञ्चारी है — यही अभिप्राय है
evam-bhūtaḥ bodhaḥ khalu — such a bodha, indeed; keṣāñcid bhakti-sahāyaḥ bhavati — becomes for some a helper to bhakti; iti sañcārī ity arthaḥ — so the sense is that it is a sañcārī.
evam-bhūto bodhaḥ khalu — इस प्रकार का बोध निश्चय ही; keṣāñcid bhakti-sahāyo bhavati — किन्हीं के लिए भक्ति का सहायक; iti sañcārī ity arthaḥ — इसलिए सञ्चारी, यही अर्थ।
Jīva now settles the classification. A bodha of this kind becomes, for some devotees, a helper to bhakti. That is precisely why it counts as a sañcārī — a passing feeling that feeds and supports the main rasa rather than standing on its own.
इस प्रकार का बोध निश्चय ही कुछ साधकों के लिए भक्ति का सहायक हो जाता है। इसीलिए यह सञ्चारी है — यही अभिप्राय है।

brahma-bhūtaḥ prasannātmā iti śrī-gītābhyaḥ ||
brahma-bhūtaḥ prasannātmā'one who has become Brahman, serene in self'जो ब्रह्मभूत हो गया है, वह प्रसन्न-आत्मा होता है
iti śrī-gītābhyaḥso it is, from the words of the śrī-Gītā [18.54] ablative — the phrase is drawn 'from' the Gītāऐसा श्रीगीता से (कहा गया है) — यह वचन गीता से लिया गया है
brahma-bhūtaḥ prasannātmā iti — the phrase 'become Brahman, serene in self'; śrī-gītābhyaḥ — comes from the śrī-Gītā.
brahma-bhūtaḥ prasannātmā — ब्रह्मभूत, प्रसन्न-आत्मा; iti śrī-gītābhyaḥ — ऐसा श्रीगीता से।
Jīva backs the point with a tag from the Gītā: 'become Brahman, serene in self.'
'जो ब्रह्मभूत हो गया, वह प्रसन्न-आत्मा होता है' — ऐसा श्रीगीता से (उद्धृत किया गया है)।
Why cited: Gītā 18.54, adduced as scriptural warrant that this brahma-realization yields a serene self and (in the verse's continuation) leads on to supreme bhakti — supporting Jīva's claims that bodha stills all affliction and awakens bhakti.
क्यों उद्धृत: गीता 18.54; इसे शास्त्रीय प्रमाण के रूप में लाया गया है कि यह ब्रह्म-अनुभव प्रसन्न आत्मा प्रदान करता है और (श्लोक के आगे के भाग में) परा भक्ति की ओर ले जाता है — इससे जीव के इस कथन की पुष्टि होती है कि बोध समस्त क्लेश को शान्त करता है और भक्ति को जगाता है।
