Viśvanātha fills in the picture. 'Skilled at banter' means she is expert in the act of joking. The 'talk' she draws out is talk that kindles desire (kāma), and she stretches it longer and longer among her friends. Then — and here he names her real motive — out of eagerness for Kṛṣṇa's touch, on the pretext of going to pick a flower-cluster, she slips off to the hollow of the grove, which he glosses as a secluded spot. So the eagerness (autsukya) this verse illustrates is the one Viśvanātha spells out: her longing for Kṛṣṇa's touch.
