tatra — on that same theme; premātiśayena — through the excess of the devotee's love; vaśyatā-adhikyam api — even the surplus of his being subdued; darśayati — he shows; yathā vā iti — with the words 'yathā vā'
Jīva and Viśvanātha set up the coming verse. Rūpa is still on the theme of Kṛṣṇa being controllable by his devotees. Now, they say, he shows something more: how far that submission can go when the love is overwhelming. The excess of the mother's love produces an excess of his surrender. The cue-word is 'yathā vā' — 'or again, as when…'
vaśyatā = being brought under someone's control; the avataraṇikā reads the Yaśodā verse as a stronger case (adhikya, 'surplus') of the same quality already under discussion — hence 'api', 'even this.'
