At that time he kept meditating, again and again, on the pair of lotus feet of the Lord. The doubled word dhyāyaṁ dhyāyaṁ means the meditation did not stop — it went on and on. This first line only sets up the meditation; what it produced in him comes in the next line.

And so that person changed. His heart began, just slightly, to be transformed — it started to melt and stir. His eyes grew moist. The word īṣat, 'slightly,' and the ongoing form vikriyamāṇa mark this as the first stir of feeling, not yet its full flood: the change is just beginning. This is what the meditation on the Lord's feet in the first line produced in him.
उसका अन्तःकरण कुछ-कुछ द्रवित होने लगा और उसकी दृष्टि सजल हो गई।
ārdra: home sense simply 'wet, moist' (of a physical thing); here 'moist eyes' names a bodily sign of rising devotional feeling — the gaze softening and welling as the heart melts.
आर्द्र का सीधा अर्थ है 'गीला, नम' (किसी भौतिक वस्तु का); यहाँ 'सजल नेत्र' उमड़ते हुए भक्ति-भाव का शारीरिक चिह्न है — हृदय के द्रवित होने पर दृष्टि कोमल होकर छलक आती है।
