daśa-yojanamfor ten yojanas (about eighty miles) it extends accusative of extentदस योजन तक (विस्तृत)
aho — oh!; kṣetrasya — of this holy place; māhātmyam — the glory; samantāt — all around; daśa-yojanam — extending ten yojanas.
Oh, how great is the glory of this holy place! It reaches ten yojanas in every direction. This is the Brahma Purāṇa praising the Puruṣottama-kṣetra (Jagannātha Purī). Rūpa Gosvāmī quotes it here: in the previous verse the word 'ādi' ("and so on") was meant to include dwelling at Puruṣottama, and this verse supplies the proof of that place's power.
Why cited: Cited to show that the 'ādi' of the prior verse includes dwelling at Puruṣottama (Purī), by praising the holy place's glory.
kṣetra: literally a 'field'; here it is a technical term for a sacred zone of land — the holy tract of Purī. yojana: an old unit of distance, roughly eight miles, so ten yojanas is about eighty miles.

Within this holy tract the demigods, who live in heaven, look down and see every single person there as four-armed. That is, everyone appears to them in the form of Viṣṇu. This is the measure of the place's glory: merely living there makes a soul look Viṣṇu-like even to the gods.
Why cited: Scriptural proof of Puruṣottama-kṣetra's sanctifying power: even the demigods see all its residents as four-armed (Viṣṇu-like), so dwelling there is a supreme benefit.
caturbhuja: 'four-armed,' the standard mark of Viṣṇu and of a liberated resident of Vaikuṇṭha; here it signals that the place divinizes everyone who dwells in it.
