muktayefor liberation dative of the thing longed forमुक्ति की (जिसकी चाह की जा सकती थी)
tasyai bhava-bandha-cchide muktaye — for that liberation which cuts the bondage of material life; na spṛhayāmi — I do not hanker.
bhava-bandha-cchide — संसार के बन्धन को काटने वाली; tasyai — उस; muktaye — मुक्ति की; spṛhayāmi na — मैं स्पृहा नहीं करता
This is Hanumān's well-known statement, quoted here. He says: I feel no hankering for that liberation, even though it cuts through the bondage of material life. The verse-unit opens by naming what he does NOT want — mukti — and the second line will say why.
जो मुक्ति संसार के बन्धन को काट देती है, उस मुक्ति की भी मैं कामना नहीं करता।
Why cited: Hanumān's words, adduced to show that a true devotee refuses even liberation.
क्यों उद्धृत: ये हनुमान के वचन हैं, जिन्हें यह दिखाने के लिए उद्धृत किया गया है कि सच्चा भक्त मुक्ति तक को अस्वीकार कर देता है।
mukti: in most schools the highest goal, freedom from rebirth; here treated as something a devotee actually turns down because it would end his service.
मुक्ति अधिकांश दर्शनों में परम लक्ष्य मानी जाती है — जन्म-मरण से छुटकारा; परन्तु यहाँ भक्त उसे स्वयं ठुकरा देता है, क्योंकि वह उसकी सेवा का अन्त कर देगी।

yatra — in which liberation; bhavān prabhuḥ ahaṁ dāsaḥ iti — the sense 'You are the master, I am the servant'; vilupyate — is wiped out.
bhavān prabhuḥ — आप प्रभु हैं; ahaṁ dāsaḥ — मैं दास हूँ; iti — यह भाव; yatra — जिसमें; vilupyate — लुप्त हो जाता है
Here is the reason. In that liberation the relationship 'You are the master, I am the servant' gets wiped out. Hanumān will not want a freedom that erases his standing as Rāma's servant. So he rejects mukti precisely because it dissolves the master-servant bond he lives for.
जहाँ 'आप प्रभु हैं और मैं दास हूँ' — यह भाव लुप्त हो जाता है।
Why cited: The same verse, showing why liberation is refused: it destroys the servant's relationship with the Lord.
क्यों उद्धृत: वही श्लोक, जो यह दिखाता है कि मुक्ति क्यों ठुकराई जाती है — वह स्वामी-दास के सम्बन्ध को ही नष्ट कर देती है।

na vyākhyātam — [this verse] was not commented on [by Jīva and Mukunda].
na vyākhyātam — (इन्होंने) व्याख्या नहीं की
Jīva and Mukunda leave this verse without comment. Their entry simply records: not glossed. So for this verse we have only Viśvanātha's explanation, which follows.
इन दोनों टीकाकारों ने इस श्लोक की व्याख्या नहीं की।
This is an editorial note about the commentaries themselves, not a gloss of the verse — it tells the reader that this pair of commentators passed over 1.2.49.
यह श्लोक की व्याख्या नहीं, बल्कि स्वयं टीकाओं के विषय में एक सम्पादकीय टिप्पणी है — यह पाठक को बताती है कि इन दोनों टीकाकारों ने १.२.४९ को छोड़ दिया।

bhava-bandha-cchedikāyai — संसार के बन्धन को काटने वाली; tasyai — उस; muktyai — मुक्ति की; ahaṁ na spṛhayāmi — मैं स्पृहा नहीं करता
Viśvanātha simply restates the first line in plain prose and pins down the grammar. He shows that all three datives point to one thing: liberation. 'For that liberation, which cuts the bondage of material life, I have no hankering.' By respelling the verse's bhava-bandha-cchide as the feminine bhava-bandha-cchedikāyai, he makes clear it describes muktyai (liberation, a feminine word), and tasyai agrees with it too.
संसार के बन्धन को काट देने वाली उस मुक्ति की भी मैं स्पृहा नहीं करता।
The verse form bhava-bandha-cchide is a compact dative that could be read as neuter; Viśvanātha's feminine bhava-bandha-cchedikāyai removes the doubt — it is an adjective of muktyai, not a separate thing.
श्लोक का रूप 'भव-बन्ध-च्छिदे' एक संक्षिप्त चतुर्थी है, जिसे नपुंसकलिंग में भी पढ़ा जा सकता था; विश्वनाथ का स्त्रीलिंग रूप 'भव-बन्ध-च्छेदिकायै' इस सन्देह को हटा देता है — यह मुक्ति का विशेषण है, कोई पृथक् वस्तु नहीं।

yatra muktau ||
yatrawherein — that is, relative pronoun being explainedजिसमें, जहाँ (जिसकी व्याख्या की जा रही है)
muktauin that liberation locative fem. supplied as the referent of yatraमुक्ति में (सप्तमी, यत्र का आधार)
yatra — wherein; = muktau — in that liberation.
yatra — जिसमें; muktau — मुक्ति में
Viśvanātha now fixes the second line's 'yatra' (wherein). He says it means 'in liberation' — muktau, locative. So the clause reads: it is in liberation that the sense 'You are master, I am servant' gets wiped out. He is only naming the referent of the relative pronoun, so the reader does not have to guess what 'wherein' points back to.
'यत्र' अर्थात् 'मुक्ति में' — इसी मुक्ति की अवस्था में वह भाव लुप्त होता है।
yatra (wherein) is a relative adverb with no stated antecedent in the verse; Viśvanātha supplies muktau (in liberation), tying the master-servant loss specifically to the state of mukti.
'यत्र' (जहाँ) एक सापेक्ष अव्यय है, जिसका कोई कथित आधार श्लोक में नहीं है; विश्वनाथ 'मुक्तौ' (मुक्ति में) की पूर्ति करते हैं, और इस प्रकार स्वामी-दास सम्बन्ध के लोप को विशेष रूप से मुक्ति की अवस्था से जोड़ देते हैं।
