The opening line of an illustrative verse, quoted 'yathā' after the section lead-in 'atha puṣpa-cauryam' — an udāharaṇa of puṣpa-cauryam, 'flower-theft,' a mode of playful amorous teasing in this part of the chapter. The verse is spoken in Kṛṣṇa's voice to Rādhā, as Viśvanātha's introduction confirms.
