yasyottaṁsaḥ sphurati cikure keki-patra-praṇīto
yasyawhose — held open on purpose; we learn only in the last line that it is Hari genitive; its antecedent (hareḥ) is withheld until L4, so the portrait builds before the name landsजिसका (यह षष्ठी है; जिसका उल्लेख हो रहा है वह — हरि — का नाम चौथी पंक्ति तक रोक रखा गया है)
uttaṁsaḥthe crest-ornament worn up in the hairशिरोभूषण, चूड़ामणि
cikureon his hair locative of placeकेशों में (सप्तमी — स्थान बताती है)
keki-patra-praṇītaḥfashioned out of a peacock's feather modifies uttaṁsaḥ; keki = peacock, patra = feather, praṇīta = made-from — the tell-tale cowherd ornamentमोरपंख से बना हुआ (उत्तंस का विशेषण; केकी = मोर, पत्र = पंख, प्रणीत = से रचा गया — यही ग्वालबाल का पहचान-चिह्न आभूषण है)
yasya — whose (= Hari's, named only at the end); keki-patra-praṇītaḥ uttaṁsaḥ — the crest-ornament fashioned of a peacock feather; cikure — on his hair; sphurati — glistens.
The speaker paints the form limb by limb, holding back until the last line whose it is. First the head: on his hair glistens a crest-ornament made of a peacock's feather — the mark of the cowherd.
An udāharaṇa (illustrative verse) of vyavasāya, the ninth limb (aṅga) of the vimarśa-sandhi, defined at kārikā 100 (v088): 'vyavasāyas tu sāmarthyasyākhyāpanam udīryate' — vyavasāya is the making-known of one's own capacity or settled resolve. This is the second illustration; the first (v089) was Rādhikā's vow to give up billions of lives. The lead-in adds the Sāhitya-darpaṇa's own wording of the same limb (SāhD 6.103: 'vyavasāyas tu vijñeyaḥ pratijñā-hetu-sambhavaḥ' — vyavasāya is to be known as arising from a declaration of one's ground). Both verses are drawn from the seventh act of the same Rādhikā drama (source ref 7.6).

hāraḥ kaṇṭhe viluṭhati kṛtaḥ sthūla-guñjāvalībhiḥ |
hāraḥthe necklaceहार, माला
kaṇṭheat his throat locative of placeकण्ठ में, गले में (सप्तमी — स्थान बताती है)
viluṭhatisways and rolls aboutलोटता है, झूलता रहता है
sthūla-guñjāvalībhiḥout of thick strings of guñjā berries instrumental of material — 'made from'; sthūla = thick, guñjā = the red-and-black forest berry, āvalī = strings; again the cowherd's own jewelryमोटी गुंजा (घुँघची) की लड़ियों से बना (तृतीया — सामग्री बताती है; स्थूल = मोटी, गुंजा = वन की लाल-काली घुँघची, आवली = लड़ियाँ — फिर वही ग्वाले का अपना गहना)
sthūla-guñjāvalībhiḥ kṛtaḥ hāraḥ — the necklace strung from thick rows of guñjā berries; kaṇṭhe — at his throat; viluṭhati — sways.
Next the throat: a necklace strung from thick clusters of guñjā berries sways there. Like the peacock feather, it is a woodland ornament, not a king's jewel.

veṇur vaktre racayati ruciṁ hanta cetas tato me
veṇuḥthe fluteवेणु, बाँसुरी
vaktreat his mouth, at his lips locative of placeमुख पर, मुख में (सप्तमी — स्थान बताती है)
hantaah! — a cry of wonder and helplessnessअहो!
cetaḥmy mind — subject of the verb that comes in the next line nominative; its verb aṅgīkaroti waits until L4चित्त, मन (प्रथमा; इसकी क्रिया अंगीकरोति चौथी पंक्ति तक रुकी रहती है)
tataḥand so, because of all thisइसलिए, उस कारण से
veṇuḥ vaktre rucim racayati — the flute at his lips works up sheer loveliness; hanta — ah!; tataḥ — because of all this; me cetaḥ — my mind (waits for its verb in L4).
Then the mouth: the flute at his lips works up sheer loveliness. Ah! — and because of all this, my mind... The sentence hangs; the mind's verb comes only in the last line.
The mūla runs on across lines 3 and 4: cetaḥ ('my mind') is the subject here, but its verb (aṅgīkaroti, 'accepts') and object (Hari's form) arrive only in L4. Read the two lines as one clause.

rūpaṁ viśvottaram api harer nānyad aṅgīkaroti
rūpamthe form — what the mind takes to itself accusative — object of aṅgīkaroti; the very form portrayed in L1–L3रूप को (द्वितीया — अंगीकरोति का कर्म; वही रूप जो पहली से तीसरी पंक्ति में चित्रित हुआ)
viśvottaramsurpassing the whole universe modifies rūpam; viśva + uttara — this sweet cowherd form is itself declared world-surpassingविश्व से भी उत्तम, सर्वोत्कृष्ट (रूप का विशेषण; विश्व + उत्तर — यह मधुर ग्वाल-रूप स्वयं समस्त संसार से बढ़कर घोषित है)
apieven so, exalted as it is emphatic with viśvottaram — the form towers over everything, yet it is precisely this and nothing lesser the mind fixes onयद्यपि, होने पर भी (विश्वोत्तर के साथ ज़ोर देता है — रूप सबसे ऊँचा है, फिर भी मन ठीक इसी को पकड़ता है, इससे कम किसी को नहीं)
hareḥof Hari — the name at last, answering the 'whose' of L1 genitive; the withheld antecedent of yasya finally landsहरि का (षष्ठी; 'जिसका' का जो नाम रोक रखा था वह अन्त में यहाँ आ पड़ता है)
na anyatnothing other, no other form na + anyat, with rūpam — the point of the whole verse: the mind refuses all elseऔर कोई नहीं (न + अन्यत्, रूप के साथ — यही पूरे श्लोक का सार: मन सब कुछ छोड़कर इसी को स्वीकारता है)
aṅgīkarotiaccepts, takes to itself as its ownस्वीकार करता है, अंगीकार करता है
me cetaḥ — my mind; hareḥ viśvottaram api rūpam — the form of Hari, surpassing the whole universe though it be; aṅgīkaroti — accepts; na anyat — and nothing else.
Now the sentence closes and the name lands: it is Hari. My mind accepts his form — the very form just described, world-surpassing though it is — and it accepts nothing else. That flat refusal of all else is the vyavasāya of the verse: the mind declares its own settled resolve, exactly the limb defined back at kārikā 100 (v088). It illustrates the same point as the previous verse (v089), and answers to the Sāhitya-darpaṇa's wording too — a firm declaration standing on its own ground.

On whose hair a crest-ornament fashioned from a peacock's feather glistens; at whose throat a necklace strung from thick clusters of guñjā berries sways; at whose lips a flute works up sheer loveliness — ah! because of all this my mind takes to itself the form of Hari, and nothing else, world-surpassing though that form is. (The name is withheld until the very end: the portrait of the sweet cowherd form is drawn limb by limb, and only in the last line is it revealed as Hari's — the mind's flat refusal of every other object being the settled resolve the verse illustrates.)
An udāharaṇa of vyavasāya (the making-known of one's settled resolve or capacity), the ninth limb of the vimarśa-sandhi defined at kārikā 100 (v088); the mind's exclusive fixing on Hari's cowherd form, rejecting all else, is the declared resolve. Second illustration of the limb, drawn like the first from the seventh act of the Rādhikā drama (7.6).
