When someone has grown angry, winning them back — coaxing them round — is what the wise call paryupāsana. So the limb is named not for the anger but for the act of soothing it.
paryupāsana ('attendance, waiting-upon') is one of the sandhy-aṅgas, the component limbs of the dramatic junctures catalogued in this sixth vibhāga; it sits in sequence with virodha (defined just before, kārikā 72) and puṣpa (kārikā 74). Rūpa defines it simply as anunaya, the conciliation of an angry person. The play illustrates it right after, where Lalitā pacifies the enraged Jaṭilā (the following lead-in, nc.6.45: ruṣṭāyā jaṭilāyā lalitayā anunayāt paryupāsanam).

A defining kārikā: it names the sandhy-aṅga paryupāsana as the conciliation (anunaya) of an angry person.
